You know when you think you have seen it all?
I think my brother was a toddler when the first no-spill sippy cups came about and that was enough for me, how did they work?!
I was at Mums and Tots and saw a little girl with a very snazzy looking cup. All the other kids where drinking from the standard issue playgroup cups apart from Jasper who had never had a drink. In his life (Upto this point)
It looked like a normal cup but with handles from where I was sitting but as I went over for a nosey I saw it was actually more like a garden sprinkler (bare with me here) I asked the Mum and she told me it was the Munchkin miracle cup. She had bought it as her daughter managed to spill her drink from every other cup. I saw the way her drinking was very natural, there was no spout to suck from. There were lots of little holes below the very top of the lid, these allowed the water to flow whichever angle the child drank from but only if they were actually sipping it. As this was so different to any cup I’d seen before I went home and ordered one straight away.
When we first got our hands on it Jasper had no interest, he liked bashing it around and throwing it but that was about it. He had a few demonstrations from his sisters and soon enough he was attempting to drink from the cup. Now he really enjoys getting his cup and having a drink, complete with over the top slurping noises, ever the comedian.
The other thing I really like about the cup is you can completely dismantle it when washing. There isn’t any tricky little bits that make it hard to clean. After recent revelations I think lots of Mum’s will be looking for a more hygienic cup, and this is it!
I think the cup is perfect for babies who aren’t used to sucking from a bottle or a cup, they are recommended from six months so perfect to introduce at the same time weaning begins.
I have come together with Munchkin to give you the chance to win one of these Miracle Cups.
