Autumn Walks #MamiaDaysOut Challenge

There’s nothing I like better than exploring with my little ones, so when Aldi challenged me to use Mamia products during a day out I jumped at the chance.

To be honest, this isn’t a challenge for us at all. We shop at Aldi every week and have been using Mamia nappies, wipes and other items for years. Aside from the massive savings we make buying from Aldi, the quality is fantastic. Every food and drink product in the Mamia range is organic and tastes great! We have been using Aldi nappies since I stopped using cloth nappies a few months ago and I cannot fault them, the baby wipes too.

So, Jasper and I headed out for a walk. This week, autumn has well and truly arrived. The air is chilly, the sun is glorious and the golden brown leaves fall from the trees. I love autumn. I’d say I actually prefer it to summer.

We took along our dog, Lexi, as well. I like to think she prefers autumn. The summer months leave her breathless on walks and she spends most of her time lying down in a shady spot. She loves running through the leaves and best of all finding sticks. She is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier we rescued about 3 years ago. For the first few years with us she was as mad as a box of frogs and a few times I wondered if we had taken on too much, but now she nears middle age she is much more mellow and a pleasure to have around. The kids adore her and she has endless patience with them.

Jasper is at that age where his motto seems to be ‘why walk when I can run’. He is a speedy little devil and loves mischief. If he thinks something is dangerous or not allowed he wants to do it twice as much. You may have seen on social media he managed to tip a hot cup of tea over himself this week. It was really upsetting but he is fine now. Just when you finish baby proofing it’s time to toddler proof the house- whole other ball game!

Toddling round the park is perfect for him to run off some of that never ending energy safely.

We’re still using the Munchkin miracle cup for Jasper and the Mamia drinks are great for carrying around and filling up as and when. The organic fruit juice is already diluted with spring water and Jasper really likes it.

His favorite by far though are the fruity rice cakes. As a fussy eater there aren’t many fail safe options with him but I know if I hand him one of these he will happily munch away. When we’re out I like to give him snacks he can eat whilst in his pushchair, the size of the rice cakes means they are perfect for this.

The pouches of puree are handy to pop in your bag. I know lots of people squeeze them onto a spoon but all of mine have always sucked them straight out the pouch. Even the bigger girls! At age 5 they still like the fruit pouches and they can be great in lunch boxes and if kids are fussy about eating fruit.

After a couple of hours running through leaves, looking for treasures and attempting to throw sticks for the dog Jasper was ready to head home for his nap. There’s not much nicer than walking in the autumn sunshine pushing a baby wrapped up warm in their pram.

I’m looking forward to lots more days like this one and planning on plenty more adventures featuring Mamia goodies

  1. Howdy! I realize this is somewhat off-topic but I
had to ask. Does managing a well-established website like yours require a
large amount of work? I am brand new to writing a blog however I do write in my journal every day.
I’d like to start a blog so I can share my personal experience and thoughts online.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions or tips for
brand new aspiring blog owners. Appreciate it!
