I was tagged by the super lovely Eilidh at Mummy and Monkeys to share my ‘non negotiables’.
The non negotiables list was started by Kate at Pouting in heels, she wants to encourage us all to make a list of things that will make us happy and stick to it! Big or small, the things that make you a little bit more smiley, put a bit of a spring in your step, something to look forward to.
So without further ado:
I will drink good coffee! I love coffee, I drink so much but often I feel extravagant splashing out on coffee when there are so many other things I could spend money on so settle for instant. It’s just not the same, regardless of taste, you don’t get the same experience (You know you’re a coffee lover when you consider drinking a cup an ‘experience’).
I will go for a cut and blow dry every 2 months. After years of chopping at my hair myself it is the ultimate luxury!
I will eat the food I love.
I will pay no mind to the mounting housework and spend hours at a time snuggling my tiny ones.
I will go on adventures.
I will start reading books again, the ones set in yesteryear that I love.
I will wear really fantastic pyjamas.
The great thing about this list is I can put a lot of into action RIGHT NOW. I once read the key to happiness in life is not a big event you splash out on but lots of tiny little things every day that bring a smile to your face.
What are some of your non negotiables? Start a list! Make yourself happy.
